PESHAWAR, 9 July: Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said around one thousand foreign intelligence agents entered Pakistan during the tenure of the previous government.
The minister told the Senate on Thursday that all these foreign agents got visas under the garb of international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) and indulged into anti-Pakistan activities. He said the previous government did not take any action against the anti-Pakistan INGOs. However, he said, preparations are underway for closure of these INGOs now.
Mr Nisar made it clear that ban on Save the Children was not removed on the instructions of the US. He said the step was taken on the directions of the Economic Affairs Division.
