PESHAWAR, 14 November: Over 150 people have been killed and over 200 injured in simultaneous terrorist attacks in six places in Paris, the capital of France.
The militants launched simultaneous attacks on Friday night on a theatre, restaurant, football ground and other places by opening fire and bomb blasts. According to French Police, the militants had taken hostage several people at Bataclan theatre and killed about a hundred people there. Witnesses said five explosions were heard at the theatre. The attackers killed the hostages one by one before the police stormed the theatre and killed four militants there.
Three explosions were heard near a football ground where a number of people were killed and injured. French President Francois Hollande was also present in the stadium to watch football match between France and Germany. However, he remained safe in the incident.
Police said eight militants were killed so far. They said three militants blew themselves up.
France declared a state of emergency after the terrorist attacks and sealed all its borders. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, US President Barack Obama and other world leaders expressed grief over the loss of lives in terrorist attacks in France and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
