MARDAN, 5 February: A painting exhibition was organised at Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan on Thursday.

The exhibition was organised under the aegis of Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts in which portraits made by the students, textile designing and mud-made cultural artefacts were put on display. The visiting students and teachers took keen interest in the paintings and artefacts.

Fine Arts teacher Asfandyar told TNN that the purpose of the exhibition was to encourage the students and show their work to the people.

Huma Gul, a visitor at the exhibition, said such programmes should be organised on a regular basis to promote the talent of students.

“We saw structures of different ancient civilisations and then used their portraits and designs on the clothes,” she said.
