PESHAWAR, 03 June: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has categorically stated that Pakistan does not believe in planting proxies in other countries and would not let anybody harm it through proxies.
In his address at the National Defence University in Islamabad, he said that our enemy State was involved in supporting terrorists and militants on our soil. By doing so they want to weaken Pakistan, but their dream would never materalise, he said.
The Army chief added that Kashmir cannot be separated from Pakistan and durable peace in the region cannot be attained without settling the decades-old dispute of Kashmir, which must be resolved in line with the resolution of the United Nations.
He also called upon the nation to be in close contact with its Army at this critical juncture of history.
It merits a mention here that in the backdrop of evidence of Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing’s involvement in unrest in Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Karachi and Balochsitan ties between the two neighbouring countries got tense once again.
