ISLAMABAD, 2 November:  Foreign office on Thursday said Afghan government has not informed Pakistan about the visit of Kunar’s deputy governor  who was reportedly kidnapped from Peshawar last Friday.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Faisal Hashimi said that the kidnapped Deputy Governor Muhammad Nabi Ahmadi was on a private visit to Pakistan.

The governor was kidnapped from Dabgari Garden locality of Peshawar who came here for treatment. Afghan Consular General Moin Mrastyal confirmed the kidnapping of Ahmadi.

CM Pervez Khattak has directed Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to constitute a special team for recovery of the governor.
