Pakhtun Journalists Association condemns Kabul blast

ISLAMABAD: The Pakhtun Journalists Association (PJA) Islamabad has condemned the killing of 10 journalists in two consecutive blasts in Kabul on Monday.

The General Secretary of PJA Gohar Mehsud issued a message in which it was stated that the Pakistani journalists are grieving the loss of Afghan journalists and stand in solidarity with Kabul.

“It is a coward act to attack journalists as they perform their duties with full responsibility despite tough situations,” said Mehsud, adding that a vigil will be held in front of Islamabad National Press Club to mark solidarity with Afghan brothers.

At least ten journalists were among the 31 people killed and dozens wounded in series of two attacks in Afghanistan on Monday. The blasts went off during rush hour in Shash darak area of Afghan capital.
