PESHAWAR, 1 October: Pakistan scored 266 runs for the loss of four wickets on the close of the third day play in first Test match against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Pakistan still needed 153 runs to remove the first innings deficit. Azhar Ali was batting on 74 runs, while Haris Sohail was yet to score a run when the play ended on third day. Azhar Ali also passed the milestone of 5,000 Test runs during his innings. He has become fifth Pakistani batsman to score above 5,000 runs in Tests.
Sri Lanka had scored 419 runs in their first innings.
