JAMRUD: Pakistan Baitul Maal on Tuesday decided to open a sweet home in Khyber tribal district to provide free education to orphan children.

Addressing a press conference, district incharge PBM Abdul Bari said that around 100 children would be given free of cost education at the sweet home.

He said that the sweet home would be set up Jamrud where orphans from all three tehsils would be enrolled with 60 percent children from Bara tehsil.

Bari said that children between age of five to eight years would be admitted and asked relatives and guardians to admit children till November 15.

“The children would be provided with free of cost books, transport, uniform, accommodation and other facilities,” he said. He said that date of birth certificate was mandatory for admission.
