PESHAWAR: Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) inaugurated a Sweet home for children at Tehsil Jamrud in District Khyber on Thursday.
The first ever sweet home of Tribal areas was inaugurated by the PBM Managing Director, Aon Abbas. On the first day, 50 children were enrolled in newly inaugurated sweet homes.
Speaking at the ceremony, Abbas said that launching of sweet home in the Khyber district shows that peace has been restored.
District Commissioner, District Khyber Mohammad Aslam Wazir and notables of the areas attended the inauguration ceremony.
Abbas claimed that 10 thousand orphans and street children would be enrolled in Sweet Houses of PBM by 2019 as par vision of Prime Minister Imran khan. He added that free medical, lodging, food, education and food would be provided to children at Sweet Homes.
Abbas said a state acts as parent for orphans and stressed that it is not only responsibility of PBM to look after these orphans and destitute children, but every member of the society should have to play his role in this regard.
Abbas said that sweet homes project would be extended to other districts of tribal districts keeping in view the requirements.
Taking about tha PBM services, Abbas said at presently 4,000 orphan children are being provided state of art facilities in 38 sweet homes across the country. He added speedy construction work is being carried out on 26 more sweet homes which would be completed by March 2019.
The managing director of PBM asked all the stakeholders and philanthropists to join hands with the PBM in this noble cause.
