PESHAWAR, 5 November: Pakistan on Thursday defeated England in the third Test of the three-match series in Sharjah and won the series 2-0.

While chasing the target of 284 runs in the last innings, England were all out on 156, giving Pakistan 127-run victory. Yasir Shah got four wickets, while Shoaib Malik got three wickets and Zulfikar Babar got two wickets. Mohammad Hafeez was declared man of the match for his brilliant knock of 151 in the second innings. He said after the match that he was happy to play important role in the team’s victory. He said the ball was reversing but he applied himself well to tackle the challenge. James Anderson got man of the series award, while Yasir Shah was declared bowler of the series.

With this victory Pakistan will now climb to second spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings.

The first match of the one-day series between Pakistan and England will be played in Abu Dhabi on 11 November.
