PESHAWAR, 26 November: The first match of the three-match Twnty20 series between Pakistan and England will be played in Dubai today (Thursday).

The match will begin at 9:00pm (PST). Pakistan have won the Test series 2-0, while England won the one-day series 3-1.

Pakistan T-20 Captain Shahid Afridi will have the services of T-20 specialists Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood and Sohail Tanvir and will be hoping to make a winning start to the series. Rafatullah Mohmand, who hails from Peshawar and has been included in the squad for the first time at the age of 39, is likely to be included in the playing 11.

On the other hand, England captain Eoin Morgan is running high on confidence after the team’s victory in the ODI series.

Pakistan are currently ranked No. 2 and England are ranked 8th in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 rankings. Pakistan will have to win the series to maintain its 2nd ranking.
