LANDIKOTAL, 21 February: Pakistan has handed over fifty nine Afghan nationals including four women and eight children who crossed into Pakistan illegally to Afghan authorities at Torkham border on Tuesday. Two dead bodies of the Afghan nationals were also handed over to the Afghan authorities at border.
According to political administration of the Khyber Agency, the 51 Afghan nationals were arrested by security forces when they were trying to cross the border illegally following Pakistan authorities sealed the border with Afghanistan.
According to political administration, the arrested Afghan nationals were handed over to the Afghan border security officials at Torkahm border as goodwill gesture. No case against them were registered for crossing the border, added political administration.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pak-Afghan borders including at Torkham has been closed for last six days following reports Afghanistan territory was used in deadly suicide bombing at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan Sharif in Sindh.
