PESHAWAR: The first match of the three-match one-day international series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played tomorrow (Wednesday) in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan will begin the series with high confidence after their overwhelming victory in the just concluded T20 series against New Zealand. However, their recent ODI form is not-so-impressive as was evident in the recently concluded Asia Cup. The situation may also be different in the ODIs as they are currently ranked fifth in the ICC rankings, while New Zealand are two steps ahead with third ranking.
The match will begin at 4:00pm (PST). The second ODI will be played on 9 November, while third ODI will be played on 11 November. After the ODI series, the two teams will also play three-match Test series.
Earlier, in the T20 series last match, Babar Azam broke the record of Indian captain Virat Kohli to become fastest batsman to 1,000 runs in T20 matches. Babar Azam achieved the milestone in his 26 innings, while Kohli did it in 27 innings.
