PESHAWAR,6 October: Pakistan off-spinner Bilal Asif has been reported for a suspect bowling action following his match-winning performance in Monday’s third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare.

Asif, 30, took 5 wickets for 25 in the third ODI to help Pakistan win the series 2-1. A total of eight deliveries from Asif during third ODI were reported by the match officials. Asif will have to get his action tested at an ICC-accredited facility within two weeks. But he can continue bowling in international cricket until the result of the test is out. If his action is declared suspect, he will face a ban from ICC to play intentional cricket.

Allrounder Mohammad Hafeez has been banned from bowling in international cricket for 12 months because of an illegal action, and offspinner Saeed Ajmal after being banned from bowling by ICC for several months  has recently passed bowling action test and rejoined international cricket. But he was not been selected for Zimbabwe tour  because he has proved ineffective after changing his action.
