PESHAWAR, 2 November: Pakistan cricket team have secured top position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 rankings for the first time.

Earlier, New Zealand were holding the top position in the ICC T20 rankings. However, Wednesday’s defeat from India reduced New Zealand’s points to 121 after which Pakistan got top ranking with 124 points. New Zealand can regain top position in the T20 rankings by winning the remaining two matches of the series against India.

West Indies are currently ranked third, England are ranked fourth, India fifth, South Africa sixth and Australia are ranked seventh in the T20 rankings.
