PESHAWAR, 14 July: Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said the government has decided to contact the British government over statement of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain against the security forces.
According to a statement of the Interior Ministry on Monday, the minister said he showed extreme patience over Mr Hussain’s statements against Pakistan’s security institutions but now time has come to raise the issue with the UK government. Mr Nisar said the Pakistan government will never tolerate criticism of the security institutions and an individual sitting abroad will not be allowed to issue statements against the security forces.
The MQM chief had criticised the Rangers officials in his telephonic address to the party workers at Nine Zero, Karachi two days ago.
About the Urdu-speaking community, Mr Nisar said they are civilised and cultured people and the MQM chief is embarrassing them by using abusive and offensive language.
