PESHAWAR, 28 January: Pakistan Under-19 cricket team on Thursday started their World Cup campaign with a brilliant six-wicket win over Afghanistan U-19 team in Sylhet, Bangladesh.

Pakistan captain Gauhar Hafeez asked Afghanistan to bat first after winning the toss. Afghanistan were all out for just 126 runs in 41.2 overs. Pacer Hassan Mohsin bagged all the three wickets at the top while leg-spinner Shadab Khan sent four batsmen back to the dressing room.

Pakistan chased the target in just 31.3 overs with the help of Zeeshan Malik’s 29 runs, Muhammad Umar’ 25 and Hassan Moshin’s 28.

Hassan Mohsin was declared man of the match for his all-round performance. Pakistan will take on Canada on January 31.
