PESHAWAR, 1 July: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has alleged that Pakistan is waging an undeclared war against Afghanistan.

According to Afghan media, Mr Ghani said peace in Afghanistan depends on cooperation from the neighbouring countries. He said those trying to set Afghanistan on fire will also burn in the same fire. He said no one should destabilise Afghanistan.

The Pak-Afghan ties improved a lot after Mr Ghani became president of Afghanistan. However the Afghan president is facing immense pressure from anti-Pakistan elements in Kabul over his efforts to improve ties with Pakistan. It is second time during the last few days that Mr Ghani has hurled serious allegations against Pakistan.

Militants have stepped up their attacks in Afghanistan with the advent of summer season in which many security personnel have lost their lives.
