PESHAWAR, 27 May: Pakistan have defeated Zimbabwe by 41 runs in the first match of the one-day series at Gaddafi Cricket Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan captain Azhar Ali decided to bat first after winning the toss yesterday. Pakistan scored 375 runs for the loss of three wickets. It was the highest one-day score by Pakistan on their home ground.

Zimbabwe could make 334 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted overs and lost the match.

The next match of the one-day series will be played on Friday.
