MINGORA, October 11: Residents of various areas of the country, particularly Swat district, have congratulated Ms Malala Yousafzai on winning the Nobel Prize.
On hearing the news regarding the Prize, people in Mingora, the main town in Swat, distributed sweats.
They said few have the courage to raise voice for women’s education and their rights in the prevailing odd circumstances, but that Ms Malala put her own life at risk by working for women’s education.
“The Prize won by Malala is a great honour for Pakistan. We appeal her to work for schools and colleges in her hometown Swat,” said a resident of Mingora.
