PESHAWAR, 25 October: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ameer Sirajul Haq has said the future of Pakistan is linked with the completion of China-Pakistan Economic corridor (CPEC) project.
In a meeting with the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad on Saturday, the JI chief hoped that the western route of the corridor will be completed as per the commitment. He said the mega project will bring prosperity to the backward areas of the country.
Siraj urged all the political parties to serve the masses while rising above the party interests. The JI chief urged the federal government to send back all the internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their native areas as they are facing immense hardships.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said a parliamentary committee is monitoring the progress of the Pak-China Corridor project.
