PESHAWAR, 27 December: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Monday that Pakistan’s progress was linked with the progress of Balochistan.

Addressing the passing out parade of Baloch recruits during his visit to Quetta, the army chief said the timely completion of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will open new avenues of development. He said the doors of talks are always open for the brothers deceived by the anti-state elements.

“Our enmity is with the enemies of Pakistan,” he said and vowed that those spreading terrorism and hate would soon be eliminated.

General Bajwa said the Pakistan Army is working tirelessly for speedy development of Balochistan. He said CPEC will ensure bright future of the coming generations and will create job opportunities.

The COAS said the Pakistan Army is a symbol of unity of the country and it has due representation from all the provinces. He said the process of recruiting thousands of Balochistan youth in the Army, Frontier Constabulary and Police is underway.

He said the Baloch youth are in the forefront of defence of the country.
