PARACHINAR, 28 November: The schoolteachers of Parachinar area of Kurram Agency have announced to boycott classes from 30 November over not getting upgradation.

Addressing a press conference at Parachinar Press Club after staging a protest demonstration, the representatives of the teachers’ association said schoolteachers in many areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA have been upgraded, but the teachers of Kurram Agency and some other areas still remain deprived of upgradation. They announced boycott of the classes from 30 November to 7 December and threatened to lock the schools if their problem remained unresolved.

“The government of Pakistan and especially the FATA Secretariat should resolve our problem of upgradation on priority basis. We will continue our protest till the acceptance of our demand,” a local teacher told TNN.
