WANA, 7 November: The political administration on Tuesday arrested four persons including two parents who refused to administer polio drops to their children in South Waziristan Agency.
Officials at the administration said that the arrests were made in Ocha Khwara area where parents were not willing to vaccinate their children against the crippling disease.
The administration sent a team first to convince the parents to vaccinate the children and if they refused then arrest them.
On refusal, the team arrested them and shifted them to jail. However, reason behind the refusal could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a polio team in Lower Dir has survived a bomb attack. The police said that unknown persons have planted a remote control bomb that exploded when a polio team passed it.
They said that no casualty took place and a search operation was launched immediately after the blast.
