CHARSADDA: The parents of students of government primary school Mirza Dher on Tuesday held protest demonstration against the shifting of the school to Tangi area.

The parents of student were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the education department. They said the government was shifting the school to Tangi on the pretext of low enrolment, but in fact more than 350 girls and boys are enrolled in the school.

They demanded the government to tack back the decision of shifting of the school and save their children’s future.

On the other hand, the Education Department said the school is being merged with another school in Tangi due to low enrolment. It said the school is being shifted under the government policy of merging the schools having low enrolment.
