ISLAMABAD, 1 November: The parliamentary parties on Wednesday agreed to keep number of National Assembly seats unchanged. The decision was taken at a meeting held here at a meeting presided over by NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

The government and opposition members reached consensus on the new delimitation process and revision of the number of seats in the provincial assemblies.

They agreed to reduce nine seats from Punjab Assembly of which five seats would be increased in KP, three in Balochistan and one for Islamabad.

A bill regarding the NA and provincial assembly seats is likely to be tabled soon.
Sadiq said that they are reviewing the objections raised by parties regarding the matters.
