PESHAWAR: Actors and singers of Pashto showbiz industry have welcomed the decision of the government about re-opening of Nishtar Hall Peshawar for cultural activities during Eidul Azha.

The showbiz celebrities said the opening of Nishtar Hall will provide positive entertainment to the masses and artistes will also get opportunities to earn their livelihood. Eminent Pashto singers Khalid Malik, Wisal Khial, Gul Sanga, Salma Naz and Pappu Chahat said in their media statement that opening of Nishtar Hall for cultural activities after a long time is a good step. They said the opening of Nishtar Hall will provide positive entertainment opportunities to audience and artistes will also get opportunities to earn their livelihood by entertaining the music and acting lowers.

The Pashto singers said the Culture Department has taken a commendable step by opening Nishtar Hall for their programmes.

Famous Pashto actors Jehangir Jani, Said Rehman Shino, Zardad Bulbul and other actors and performers and singers will participate in stage shows in Nishtar Hall from second day of Eidul Azha. The entertainment programmes will start at 5:00pm at Nishtar Hall.

The artistes and actors hoped that a large number of music and acting lovers will come to Nishtar Hall during Eid days to see their favourite singers and actors and watch their shows. They were also confident that they will present good shows and receive appreciation and applause from the audience.

Actors and singers said Nishtar Hall should remain open permanently so that they get chance of performance and earn livelihood as many of them have no alternate source of income. They said this step will also provide good entertainment to people who want to take a break from their tough routines and enjoy good programmes with their families. They said more people will join the field of showbiz if they are provided platform for showing their talent.

The artists paid special thanks to Senior Minister for Tourism Muhammad Atif Khan and secretary and director of Culture Department for their efforts to re-open Nishtar Hall. They said Nishtar Hall will once again become a centre of cultural activities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa very soon.
