DERA ISMAIL KHAN, 14 May: Patients at the District Headquarters Hospital Dera Ismail Khan have said they are now getting better facilities at the hospital with changes in the administration.

Patients at the hospital told TNN that previously heaps of garbage were laying all over the place at the hospital and the sanitation staff were not performing their duties honestly. They said they also used to buy medicines from outside the hospital. They said the condition has considerably improved and now they get free of cost medicines at the hospital. The patients said the performance of the sanitation staff has also improved now and they lift garbage from time to time to ensure cleanliness.

“We were facing many hardships previously. Medicines were not available at the hospital and doctors also used to remain absent from their duties. Now the new medical superintendent has ensured strict discipline. Sanitation of the hospital has also improved under the new administration,” a patient at the hospital told TNN.

The visiting patients and their attendants were also happy over installation of air conditioners and availability of doctors round the clock at DI Khan Hospital.

“Now we are receiving free of cost medicines and air conditioners have also been installed. Overall condition of the hospital has improved a lot,” a female patient said.

Medical Superintendent Dr Karam Shah said he will continue his efforts to serve the visiting patients at the hospital.
