PESHAWAR, 28 September: A disciplinary committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed ban of three matches and Rs1 million fine on batsman Umar Akmal.

According to a statement issued by the PCB, Chairman Najam Sethi has approved three-match ban and fine of Rs1 million on Umar Akmal on the recommendations of the disciplinary committee. Umar Akmal will not get No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the PCB for playing any foreign cricket league or tournaments for the next two months.

Umar Akmal on 16 August accused national coach Mickey Arthur of subjecting him to verbal abuse and not allowing him practice at the National Cricket Academy. The PCB had issued a show cause notice to Umar Akmal over his outburst against the coach after which the batsmen had admitted his mistake.
