PESHAWAR, 25 November: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar M Khan has sent a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif apprising him about talks with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the proposed Pak-India cricket series.

The PCB chief said he was hopeful that the government will send its reply in this regard within few days. He said final decision about the Pak-India cricket series will now be taken by the governments of both countries.

Shaharyar sent the letter to the prime minister after a meeting with the BCCI President Shashank Manohar in Dubai regarding the bilateral series on Sunday. England and Wales Cricket Board President Giles Clark played the role of mediator during the meeting.

Under the proposed agreement, Pakistan will host the series in Sri Lanka if both the governments approve the series. Sri Lanka has already offered to host the Pak-India series.
