PESHAWAR, 15 December: The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has signed an agreement with the Pakistan Army’s Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) for construction of Regi Model Town.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government Inayatullah signed the agreement with the FWO officials on Monday. The minister said Rs2 billion have been released for the FWO initially for construction of roads, parks and main gates in the town. He said an additional amount of Rs6 billion will also be released for development work in the town soon.
Mr Inayatullah said the Regi Lalma Town Zone 4 and Zone 5 can accommodate people more than the population of the whole Hayatabad. He said the residential problems in the city will be resolved to a great extent after construction of the Regi Lalma Town.
