PESHAWAR, 27 October: The Punjab Minister for Labour, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Chaudhry Sher Ali along with the representatives of Punjab Disaster Management Authority handed over relief goods to the  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government at Peshawar.

According to a press release issued by KP government,  50 trucks of relief package including 10,000 tents, 10,000 blankets, 10,000 food hampers and 5 trucks of flour reached here on Tuesday. The package also included a rescue team (1122) having 65 rescuers and a health team comprising 41 individuals (doctors, nurses and other technical staff).

KP Minister for Public Health Engineering, Shah Farman and Special Assistant to CM for Information, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani thanked the Punjab Government and termed it as nation friendly initiative.

Addressing a press conference, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, on this occasion said that earthquake was a big tragedy and added that they will not leave alone the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Chief Minister of the Punjab took immediate action providing relief package to express solidarity with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also made it clear that the Punjab Government has provided that relief package, however, it would continue its assistance till complete rehabilitation of the earthquake affectees
