PESHAWAR, 30 May: Four people, including the head of a local peace committee, were killed when unknown armed men attacked a vehicle in Matani a restive area of Peshawar on Monday evening, police said.
According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate firing on a vehicle in Matani Bazaar. Four people including a local peace committee head, Irshad, were killed and another sustained critical injuries in the attack.
Police said the members of the peace committee were going to attend a meeting when they were attacked in Matani Bazaar.
The assailants managed to escape from the scene after committing the crime. The dead bodies and injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).
