TANK, 31 May: The people of Kari Umar Khan in Union Council Tatta have demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to conduct re-polling in their area.

People of the area also held a protest demonstration against mismanagement during the election process. The protesters told TNN that about 1,300 voters, including men and women, could not cast their votes due to mismanagement at the polling stations. They said the polling staff was insufficient for the area.

“Due to mismanagement of the Tank district administration out of 3,500 voters in two polling stations, 600 male and 800 female voters remained deprived of their right to vote. We demand the government to order re-polling in Kari Umar Khan,” a protester told TNN.
