PESCO notifies load-shedding schedule for Ramazan

PESHAWAR, 28 May: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) on Sunday issued new schedule for electricity load-shedding during the holy month of Ramazan.
According to a statement issued by PESCO, the areas will face more load-shedding were electricity theft ratio is high. Urban areas will face up to four hours and rural will face up to six hours load-shedding where the electricity deficit is up to 50%, the notification stated.
Furthermore, PESCO in its statement said, the domestic consumers would be given relief during Sehar, Iftar and Taraweeh time while industries would face nine consecutive hours of load-shedding from Iftar to Sehar.
PESCO management also appealed domestic consumers to avoid an excessive use of electricity and minimize its use in public interest during Sehar and Iftar timings. PESCO also appealed the public for cooperation to curb electricity theft and minimize load-shedding.
