PESHAWAR, 14 July: The Peshawar Police have established help desks besides the police stations to ensure law and order and resolve the problems of the people on immediate basis.

Sub-Inspector Abdullah Jan deputed at Gharbi Police Station told TNN that help centres have been set up initially in Qissa Khwani, Saddar and Hashtnagri areas. He said more help centres will be established after Eid.

The sub-inspector said the help centres will make it easier for the citizens to register complaints in police stations. He said the cops deputed at the help centres round the clock will also keep an eye on miscreants in the bazaars.

“These help desks have been established to facilitate the citizens in case of any mishap with them in the city areas. The citizens can immediately approach the help centres in the event of vehicle lifting, wallet theft, missing child or other problems. Many villagers who visit the city areas and come across any problem don’t know about the location of police stations to lodge their complaints. These help centres will greatly benefit the people and will be available for their help round the clock. We will bring further improvement in these help centres soon,” Mr Abdullah told TNN.
