PESHAWAR, September 17: Residents of the provincial capital Peshawar have asked the district administration to take action against the sellers of unhygienic food.
The residents say there were insanitary conditions at food outlets in various markets of the city and that most of the materials used in food preparation in hotels was substandard and unhygienic. They say it may cause diseases among people.
“The hotel owners use store food items and then sale stale food the next day. Moreover, most food outlets do not take care of cleanliness,” a resident told TNN.
Another resident said, “Officials of the district administration receive huge salaries but they don’t do their duty to punish the adulterators.”
