PESHAWAR: The federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products once again.

Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan for Political Communication, said that because of the surge in the prices in the global market, OGRA had proposed an increase in petrol price by Rs6.5 per liter, but the prime minister allowed it to be increased to only by Rs2 per liter.

Shahbaz Gill claimed that an increase of Rs3.44 per liter of fuel had been decided, but that the PM only accepted Rs2 per liter.

It should be noted that the Federal Ministry of Finance is expected to issue a pricing notification soon.
