PESHAWAR, 23 December: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday dismissed all the petitions over the status of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission and declared its establishment legal and according to Constitution.

Former KP minister Ziaullah Afridi along with 30 other petitioners had filed petitions in the PHC against the KP Ehtesab Commission established by the provincial government. The petitioners argued that the KP Ehtesab Commission was established unconstitutionally.

A seven-member bench of the PHC headed by Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel while announcing verdict dismissed all the petitions on the constitutional status of the KP Ehtesab Commission. The court also dismissed a petition against appointment of director general of the Ehtesab Commission.
