PESHAWAR, 2 July: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have announced a protest movement against the privatisation of the institution.

Vice president Abdul Saboor Shah, who is affiliated with the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), said the employees will not allow privatisation of PIA. He said the employees will lock the offices and hold further protests after Eid if any employee was dismissed for downsizing of the PIA.

Mr Saboor said the expanses of the PIA should be reduced instead of privatising the institution.
