PESHAWAR: An aircraft of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) skidded off the runway during landing in Panjgur district of Balochistan on Saturday.

The plane was damaged in the incident, however, fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. A spokesperson for the PIA said the plane PK-517 skidded off the runway at Panjgur Airport while landing. The plane took off from Karachi for Panjgur at 8:20am. The spokesman said over 50 passengers were in the plane at the time of the incident. He said all the staff members and passengers are safe.

The chief executive officer of the PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik has ordered an inquiry into the incident. He said those responsible for the incident will face action according to the law.
