PESHAWAR: Awami National Party central president Asfandyar Wali Khan said the world and Prime Minister Imran Khan have finally endorsed his party stance on Afghanistan after 40 years.

He said that ANP was against this so called war on terror and warned rulers to stay away from it as it would spread to Pakistan.

In a statement issued here he stated Prime Minister Imran Khan endorsed what ANP leadership was advocating for and it was labelled as traitors for thier anti war policies in Afghanistan for 40 years.

“ANP leadership were arrested and declared traitors when it asked the then rulers to stay away from this war as it would engulf the whole region,” it said while quoting him.

He said that admitting Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan was confession of crime and asked that champions of so-called change should hold accountable those who started and fuelled war in Afghanistan.

ANP chief said that Pakhtuns were used in this war in Afghanistan and urged all stakeholder to work for peace in Afghanistan regardless of their interests
