PESHAWAR, 4 June: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked the Ministry of Water and Power to avoid power load-shedding at Sehr and Iftar during the holy month of Ramazan.

According to the state-run news agency, the prime minister chaired a meeting of the officials of the Water and Power and Petroleum ministries yesterday in Islamabad. Mr Sharif reviewed arrangements for supply of petroleum and electricity to consumers during Ramazan and asked the concerned officials to ensure minimum load-shedding. He asked the officials that the limit of six-hour load-shedding in urban areas and eight-hour outages in urban areas should not be crossed during the holy fasting month.

The prime minister also directed to ensure smooth supply of petroleum in all parts of the country during Ramazan.
