QUETTA, 6 August: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif inaugurated a number of projects during a daylong visit to this provincial capital today.

Besides opening Mangi Dam, agricultural university and Saryab flyover, the prime minister approved peace plan to bring Baloch insurgents into mainstream. According to the peace plan Rs 0.5 million to Rs. 1.5 million would be given to the militants, surrendering arms.

The premier was also given a briefing on law and order at the Governor’s House which was also attended by the Balochistan governor, chief minister, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, commander of the Southern Command and other government officials.

Later, in a meeting chaired by the prime minister important decisions regarding maintaining law and order in Balochistan were taken.
