PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday visited the General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, where he was briefed on defence, internal security and professional matters of Pakistan Army.

Earlier, on arrival at the General Headquarters, the prime minister was received by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor said in a Twitter message.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Finance Minister Asad Umar and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry also accompanied Imran Khan during his maiden visit to the GHQ after assuming charge as prime minister.

The army chief had called on Imran Khan at the Prime Minister House earlier this week. The two dignitaries expressed resolve to continue efforts for enduring peace and stability in the country.
