NOWSHERA: Police arrested a suspected rapist on Tuesday who allegedly kidnapped and raped a married woman for seven days in Akora Khattak area of Nowshera district.
Raids for another suspect are underway, the police said. They said that the victim in her statement recorded before judge Shakeel Arshad said that Ahmad Islam and Munawar Khan came to her house on October 6. Notice of issue was taken after Tribal News Network posted a video showing the woman on its social media pages.
She said that the alleged persons have shown a fake marriage certificate to her father-in-law and took her forcefully. “They kept me in habeas corpus and raped me for seven days,” she alleged.
District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah constituted a team on court direction and directed it arrest the culprits. The police arrested the one of the suspect and produced him before the court. The court give him to Akora Khattak police on two-day physical remand.
