PESHAWAR, 12 May: The polling stations for the local bodies elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been divided into three categories.
Provincial Election Commission says 10,850 polling stations will be established for the local bodies polls in KP to be held on 30 May. As many as 2,837 polling stations have been declared extremely sensitive, 3,940 polling stations have been declared sensitive and the remaining polling stations are normal.
KP Inspector General Police Nasir Durrani says all the contesting candidates should take permission from the district administration before conducting any public rally. He said timely permission from the district administration will enable police to provide security to the public meetings for election campaigns.
According to reports, more than 19,000 candidates are contesting in the local bodies polls in KP whereas more than 1,300,000 voters would use their voting right on the day of election.
