PESHAWAR: The post-Hajj flight operation will commence from tomorrow (Monday) and the first flight carrying 327 pilgrims will land at Islamabad Airport.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Religious Affairs said the operation will be completed on 25 September with return of over 184,000 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia. On the first day of post-Hajj operation, total 950 Hujjaj aboard four flights would reach New Islamabad Airport and Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar.
Director General Hajj operations Syed Imtiaz Shah said at least 8 to 12 flights will land in Pakistan every day and the pilgrims will be transported from Mecca to Medina before being flown to Pakistan. He said almost 36,000 Pakistani pilgrims are expected to come back home from Medina this year.
