TIMERGARA, 18 November: Leader of the opposition in National Assembly (NA) Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday threatened that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would stage a sit-in against the PTI led provincial government if it failed to ensure transparency in distribution of relief items among the earthquake affectees.
“PPP had rehabilitated the IDPs within a short span of 3 months during its tenure, he claimed while addressing at a public gathering at the residence of former provincial minister Nawabzada Mehmood Zeb Khan at Timergara.
Contrary to the tall claims made by PTI chairman Imran Khan of introducing merit system in the province and giving timely relief to masses, the earthquake victims in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been crying for just and fair distribution of relief assistance, Shah said adding If the PTI chairman could not ensure transparency in distribution of relief items among the affected people, how he could build a new Pakistan.
He challenged the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to spend only 4 hours in shivering cold faced by the earth quake affected people in mountainous regions of KP.
