PESHAWAR, 21 November: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader Maqdoom Amin Fahim passed away after protracted illness in Karachi on Saturday.
Amin Fahim, 76, was diagnosed with blood cancer and was under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi. The funeral prayer of Amin Fahim will be offered in Hala at 3:00pm. Amin Fahim was born in 1939 in Haala area of Matiari, Sindh in an influential family. He began his political career in 1970 and was elected member of the National Assembly eight times. He held the offices of the PPP senior vice chairman and PPP-Parliamentarians president. Amin Fahim also remained federal minister two times.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former president Asif Ali Zardari and a number of leaders have expressed grief on the death of Amin Fahim and prayed for his eternal rest and peace.
